Cashmere ducked under the lichen as the exited the den. He was new, one day in the clan. They had asked him to join after he saved a clan members life after a badger attacked them. Cashmere was a former rouge, who was a Christmas present for a little girl, but she wasn't interested with him, so they left him out on the street, in a box with the word 'Free kitten' written across it. He escaped from the box, and lived life on the streets.
Cashmere sniffed the air, the smell of cats lingered in the camp. He had to get used to the clan customs, the sooner, the better.

Cashmere greeted the fellow clan cats with a hearty smile. ''Hi guys! I was gonna go out hunting, care to join me?'' The Tom asked. He hadn't eaten since yesterday sunrise, so his stomach longed for a nice spot of freshkill.

Cashmere whipped round his head curiously as he heard a strange noise behind him, but his brilliant green eyes met no-one. The sandy-blonde tom just sat down and began to flatten down his ruffled fur with licks.

Cashmere lay under the shade of a large Pine tree. The Tom was bored, and had nothing to do. He was just back from his first patrol, as he was new, and his next wasn't till' Moonhigh, so he had plenty of time to kill. His stomach mourned for Fresh kill, but he didn't want to go by himself, he had only joined the clan two days ago, so he didn't know his way around Shadowclan territory.
